Bus to Zagreb

On the day of the official opening of the new terminal, a new scheduled bus service was launched between the airport (Zračna luka) and the city. Bus line 290 of ZET runs between Velika Gorica and the square ‘Kvaternikov trg’ in Zagreb. The final stop in the capital of Croatia is located east of the city centre, the journey time from Zagreb Airport is 35 minutes. You will find the airport bus stop on the main road, behind the parking lot. The bus to Zagreb leaves on the other side of the road on your left. The bus from the city leaves south of ‘Kvaternikov trg’ on the corner of Martićeva ulica and Heinzelova ulica (Peron 4).

For a bus ride to Zagreb you need two tickets of € 0.53 each, these are sold at the TISAK kiosks in the Arrivals hall and Departures hall. After entering the bus you must validate the first ticket at the yellow ticket machine in front of the bus. After about 10 minutes, once you have crossed the Sava River, you must validate the second ticket (near the Petruševec bus stop). You are now in a different zone, which means that the first ticket is no longer valid. Bus line 290 runs every day of the week, approximately every half hour.

From ‘Kvaternikov trg’ you can cover the remaining distance to the centre of Zagreb by tram 11, tram 12 or on foot. The tram stop is situated next to the Dubravica bakery. A tram ride takes 5 to 7 minutes, you need another ticket of € 0.53 (valid for 30 minutes). From here, walking to ‘Trg bana Josipa Jelačića’ (Ban Jelačić Square) takes 20 minutes. Public transport in Zagreb consisting of buses and trams is carried out by ZET. Please consult public transport Zagreb Airport and website ZET for more information.
