Horrendous queue at passport control on flight into Fuerteventura. Holidays makers of all ages queuing for over an hour. There is only person on passport control. Totally disrespectful and devaluing the holiday maker coming to Fuerteventura. No explanation or apology.
Arrivals pretty straight forward. It's a super airport but chaotic isn't the word for departures! It was like a bun fight getting through security and duty free. Far too many people gathering in small areas for flights. Food on offer was poor quality and lots of eateries were closed (and it was Saturday). Managed to get a poor quality sandwich at an expensive price. Unfortunately the sandwich box was not closed properly and all the contents fell out into the carrier bag it had been put in so threw it away. My serious advice ... buy your food before you get there!!
I will never fly from fuertaventura Airport again. On April 9th 2022 I joined the queue for passport control. I joined the queue at 9.23am while in the queue that was at a guess 300 metres long ? Maybe more. People arrive and passed out the queue and security did nothing about its was terrible to stand for so long and see this happen. one person worked at passport control just one person. Eventually at 11.27 I got through passport control and just made my 11.30 flight.
This is the worst airport I’ve ever been at in my 16 years alive! There are many cafes of which almost none are open! 1 of the few restaurants that were open was Burger King. Tired and hungry I happily entered the queue to order my food! After ordering a single coffee thinking it would take maximum 5 min I stood there for about 40 minutes and when I do get my coffee there was only about 1 sip of coffee and it wasn’t an espresso I ordered it was a latte… furthermore the airports WiFi didn’t work at all plus there wasn’t any air conditioning leading to me getting extremely hot even tho I was wearing shorts! Nearly all planes were delayed as well! I did not enjoy a single moment of my time here!
